Rotherham United are busy assembling their squad for a new League Two season. The time for wound-licking is over, with the Millers now focused on pre-season preparations. If Rotherham are to bounce straight back into League One, they must ensure summer work both and off the field is done properly. Jamie Jellis and Ossama Ashley have arrived from Walsall and Salford City respectively, bolstering Alex Bruce’s midfield. Further forward, winger Aaron Nemane has joined on a free transfer from Milton Keynes Dons and forward Fabio Tavares has been snapped up after leaving Burton Albion. Milers head coach Bruce said: “The priority is the spine of the team and getting players who can play week in, week out to meet the demands of a football league season. “Players who are robust, good characters and good types and then we can start filling in the gaps around that. But I want to get the spine of the team right if I can.” Rotherham are looking to get new faces through the door and defenders Brandon Williams and James Furlong are being assessed as trialists.
